Privacy Policy — Salla

Salla ("we", "us", "our") operates the Salla mobile application (the "App"), which helps people discover and book event halls (salles des fêtes) across Algeria, and helps venue owners list and manage their halls. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following, depending on how you use the App:

Account information: your name, email address, phone number, and a password when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name and email) to create your account.
Content you provide: booking requests, visit requests, favorite venues, and — for venue owners — your venue listings, descriptions, prices, availability, and photos you upload.
Approximate location: with your permission, we use your device's approximate location (city-level) to show venues near you. You can decline or turn this off at any time in your device settings; the App still works without it.
Technical information: basic technical data (such as device type and app version) needed to operate the service securely and reliably.

2. How we use your information

To create and manage your account and keep it secure.
To let customers browse venues and send booking or visit requests.
To let venue owners publish listings and manage bookings, calendars, and clients.
To connect customers and venue owners so a booking can be arranged.
To show venues near your location, when you allow it.
To respond to your questions and provide support.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the App:

Between customers and venue owners: when you send a booking or visit request, the relevant details (such as your name and request) are shared with the venue owner so they can respond. This is the core purpose of the App.
Service providers: we use Google Firebase (provided by Google LLC) for authentication, database, and file storage. Your data is processed and stored on Google's secure servers. See Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Legal reasons: if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the App.

4. International data transfers

Because we use Google Firebase, your information may be stored and processed on servers located outside Algeria. We rely on Google's security and compliance measures to protect it during and after transfer.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we must keep it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

6. Your rights and account deletion

You can:

Access and update your account information in the App.
Request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the email below. We will process your request within a reasonable time.
Turn off location access at any time in your device settings.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (including the security provided by Google Firebase and encrypted connections) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

8. Children's privacy

The App is intended for adults arranging events and venue bookings. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
